30 Days of Me - Day 15

Day 15 is first 10 songs that come up on your ipod (I have a Samsung) when it's on shuffle. So here goes:

- I've got my mind set on you - George Harrison (yay this is one of my fav songs!)

- I can't stop this feeling I've got - Razorlight

- Fallin' to pieces - Rob Thomas

- Partyline 555-on-line - 5ive (90s pop FTW!)

- All that she wants - Ace of Base

- Redundant - Green Day

- The static age - Green Day

- Ain't too proud to be - Temptations?

- Layla - Eric Clapton

- Oh lately it's so quiet - Ok Go (yay another of my favs!)

So yeah that's my taste in music summed up in 10 songs really hehe

30 Days of Me - Day 14

A pic of me and my family. Well unfortunately I don't have any pics with me and my family :s My parents have them all

But here's my Mum and Stepdad Muir :) At the 7s in 2009. I took the photo so technically you could say I'm in it.... not really I know hehe.

30 Days of Me - day 13

Day 13- A letter to someone who has hurt you recently

I've been thinking about this for a little while, and to be honest there's no one who's hurt me in a way where I would need to publically write a letter to them. You know that saying "people treat you the way you let them"? Well to be honest I've never been truly screwed over by anyone without me having a little bit of looking the other way.

So that's it :-)

30 Days of Me - day 12

Day 12- How you found out about Blogger and why you made one

How I found out about Blogger: Well, to be honest, I've read a few blogs on it and it was what other people were using for the 30 Days of Me challenge so I thought 'why not?'
Why I made one: Just as something to do really. Some of my fav blogs are just people talking about their every day lives. Once this 30 days challenge is over I guess I'll have to come up with my own content - oh the pressure hehe.

Found this via Stumble Upon yesterday, very cool!

30 Days of Me - day 11

Oops so I missed yesterday, so will make up with 2 posts today. Day 11 is more photos of you and your friends

Tim's 25th (unfortunately Tim isn't in the pic) Dancing in the garage - what a night!

Me and Emily ready for my friend Amanda's wedding.

30 Days of Me - day 10

Day 10- Songs you listen to when you are Happy, Sad, Bored, Hyped, Mad
Like a lot of people I have a pretty random taste in music.

Happy: Pretty much anything, I love Green Day - Viva la Gloria

Sad: Used to be Metallica's Until it Sleeps. But don't really have sad songs any more

Bored: Something I can dance to, like 911 - Party People :D

Hyped: Either crappy 90s pop, or to get hyped I LOVE Eminem & Nate Dogg - Shake That

Mad: Only work makes me mad and I don't listen to music there, so nothing really.

30 Days of Me - day 9

Day 09- Something you’re proud of in the past few days

Something I'm proud of hmm...... Getting out of bed and putting on pants? To be honest sometimes even that's a bit of a struggle. But the thing I'm most proud of is that I've been consistant with my workouts - cardio and weight training. I've discovered a nice walking track right by work (quite a find in the middle of the CBD), plus I'm totally addicted to Turbo Jam.

I'm an all or nothing person - e.g. I either live of mcdonalds and chocolate or lean chicken and salad. So finding healthy balance is a struggle for me. Hence why my diet contains healthy stuff, as well as a fair bit of chocolate and wine :D

30 Days of Me - day 8

So day 8 is short terms goals for this month

In no particular order:

> exercise 5 times a week (I'm sick of being so unfit, after giving up smoking it's nice to be able to breathe and feel myself making progress)

> wrap up research projects at work (it's time to move onto some new ones, so need to get the old ones wrapped up)

> tidy house and get rid of all my excess stuff (this is my main goal, I am such a hoarder and because I'm moving in a month I would really like to downsize)

30 Days of Me - day 7

So day 7 is the person who's had the biggest influence on you.

I would have to say my friend Emily. We met when we were studying graphic design at Weltec is 2005. Took us a little while to warm to each other - she was very Hawke's Bay laid back and I was shy and a bit uptight. But after a few months (and a fair few nights at the pub) we were pretty close.

Before I met Emily I didn't really go out to bars, or make a fool of myself - oh how things have changed! hehe. Was pretty gutted when she decided to move back to Hawke's Bay - but she's just way too laid back for Wellington. Plus she hates the weather... We've seen each other like 5 times since she moved so we're not doing too badly.

So yeah I would have to say it's her that's helped to mould me into the loudmouth drunk that I am :D

Feather boa and a bottle of Scrumpy? That's how we roll...

30 Days of Me - day 6

So day 6 is Favorite super hero and why.

I'm not really into superheros although I have seen most of the latest movies. Sorry to disapoint, it's just not really my thing.

Until tomorrow....

30 Days of Me - day 5

Day 5 is a picture of somewhere you've been

The most recent place I've been to that wasn't for work is Queenstown :D Was absolutely gorgeous. Went with my friend Meany (it's just a nickname, she's really quite lovely) and some colleagues/friends from the UK. Amazing time going round the wineries.

View from our apartment balcony

The view from the tasting room at Chard Farm. They do the yummiest Rose :D

And here's the view from the top of the gondola. I so want to live in Queenstown it is amazingly beautiful.

30 Days of Me - day 4

So day 4 is A habit that you wish you didn’t have.

I would have to say I wish I didn't eat so much. Sounds silly but sometimes it feels like all I do is eat the food, think about the food, plan the food, crave the food etc etc. Wish I was one of those ppl who could eat healthy all the time and didn't finish one meal and start planning the next.

But could be worse I suppose

30 days of me - day 3

So Day #3 is to post picture of you and your friends

I don't have a camera so most of my photos I've had to grab off others. But here goes:

So this is me and my bestie Emily, lying in a field of flowers - epic photo :D

Me, Emily, Casey and Nicole on a night out in town - I think we're actually on the bus in this one

Me, Emily and Casey on New Years - yes I am wearing a flask around my neck. We were in Mahia and I was the height of fashion

30 Days of Me - day 2

So day #2 is the meaning behind your Blog name.

Well Bafflingly Philosophical was a phrase I read online years and years ago, that's kinda stuck. It's how I would describe myself, except when I'm feeling a bit cynical due to work stress etc.

And just cos I feel like it here's an awesome pic :-)

30 Days of Me - day 1

So Day 1 is to post a recent photo of myself and 15 interesting facts about myself.

Photo above is me in December 2003 doing clay pigeon shooting at Ohariu Farm. I was rocking the 'down home on the farm' trackpants, whilst my (then) colleague's Russian bride was kitted out in diamonds and fake fur. I felt a little under-dressed until this moment.

And to the 15 interesting facts about me:
1) I have a black cat named Bartholomew. We don't shorten that to Bart, he had been and always will be Bartholomew.
2) I'm going flatting again next month mainly because living alone has caused me to talk to myself relentlessly.

3) One of my best friends is closer in age to my Mum then she is to me.

4) I am the messiest person I have ever met, drives my loved ones batty.

5) A combination of tattoos and a light grey suit on a guy is my fantasy of the moment.

6) I can't drive.

7) I'm planning to go overseas by myself next year, probably San Francisco and Vancouver depending on my money situation.

8) May be going to South Korea for work at the end of next month just waiting on the CEO's permission.

9) I HATE people touching metal cutlery to their teeth. It's worse to me then fingers on a blackboard.

10) I'm not sure if I'll ever have kids. I find their childish questions and energy frustrating - and isn't that what people love about kids?!

11) I'm currently single and really enjoying it.

12) One of my favourite passtimes is complaining about other people's negativity.

13) My other favourite passtime is Twitter, so many cool people to chat with.

14) I have a group of friends I don't actually like, but they picked me over my ex after the breakup and I feel guilty for that.

15) I honestly don't know if I'll blog again after these 30 days - I haven't got much to say!
